I am going to send you what my Father has promised: but stay in the city until you have been clothed you with power from on high

Jesus returns to heaven blessing as he goes. But the story does not end here…

LK 24 Early one a.m. women head 2 the tomb 2 prep JC’s body. Scared by 2 men gleaming they R told “He is not here he is risen”.

Rush 2 tell disciples but they thought they were spouting nonsense till Peter goes 2 check & sees only strips of linen. What has happened?

JC prays earnestly for other way-so much he sweats blood-but he will follow Father’s way whatever cost. Disciples sleep through it all

A kiss from Judas gives the game away. JC arrested. Peter cuts servants ear trying to defend JC. “No more of this” JC shouts & heals ear.

Peter loses his bottle and denies Jesus 3 times. I do not know him, I do not know him, I do not know him. He weeps as the cock crows

Rich men were dropping large gifts into temple treasury, whilst a very poor widow gave two copper coins of little value, all the money she had. Jesus said the widow had given the greater gift, although small in value, because she gave all, not part.
